A Roya correspondent reported on Thursday morning that a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) gunfire in Jenin.

Mohammad Bassam Arabi, 32, succumbed to serious injuries inflicted by the IOF in the city's eastern neighborhood.

With Arabi’s death, the toll from the IOF assault on the northern West Bank has risen to 18 martyrs, with dozens of others injured.

Since October 7, 2023, the number of martyrs reached 670.

Israeli forces launched a large-scale assault on Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm early Wednesday morning. The operation has involved helicopters, drones, and numerous military vehicles with bulldozer support.

The IOF imposed stringent blockades across the West Bank, effectively trapping residents and obstructing ambulance services from reaching the injured.

This ongoing aggression in the northern West Bank is one of the most severe escalations in recent times, with Hebrew media stating that this operation is the most extensive of its kind in the region since 2002.
